Born and raised in the Bronx I did not see many opportunities offered in my community. When I went away to college in Massachusetts, I really began to live outside of my Bronx bubble and realized that there was so much more out there. I got my BA in Sociology from Boston College with the hopes of being able to help others. I worked retail (mostly management) for 10 years. I later transitioned to workforce development where I recruited for many large companies. I have a passion for helping others so becoming a Case Manager for a company like HOPE was the next best step in my career.
