The energy efficient coating reduces the urban heat island effect in New York City’s neighborhoods, lowering air temperatures during warm months. Graduates who complete the program are fully prepared to build a career in the green economy.
All jobseekers in NYC CoolRoofs are paid a $15 hourly wage.
In addition, program participants receive the skills, training and education within the HOPEworks curriculum, including: digital literacy, resume writing, interviewing skills, and more.
Our holistic services include professional clothing, meals, and mental health case management.
We first need you to attend an informational session where we’ll walk you through our programs and how HOPE works.
The certifications really made a difference when I went out to get a job, and now I’m a union painter.
