HOPEworks

  • Next class date: Tuesday, September 5th
     
  • What You'll Learn
    • Write a resume for the job you want
    • Complete a work internship
    • Interview with top employers
    • Get one-on-one support from employment professionals
    • Practice conflict management and customer service skills
    • Upgrade your computer skills 
    • Earn OSHA 10 certification
    • Participate in hands-on training
    • Earn access to careers in maintenance, security, animal care, clerical, customer service and others! 
       
  • How to Enroll
    • Attend an Information Session, held every Tuesday and Thursday morning at HOPE (1 Smith Street, 4th Floor, Brooklyn, NY). Please arrive on time for a 9 AM sharp start time.
       
  • Eligibility
    • Be ready to participate in a full-time program and work full time
    • Be in active recovery, if applicable
    • Be 18 years or older
    • Have identification to demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States
    • No diploma or GED required!

Sustainable South Bronx

    • The importance of environmental practices in construction and maintenance, including techniques to improve energy efficiency
    • Basic construction and building operation techniques
    • Basic skills in HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing repair and maintenance
    • How to write a resume for the job you want
    • Earn certifications in BPI Air Sealing, OSHA, Flagging, Scaffolding and more!
